Tutoring

​Having a firm grasp of both English and mathematics in the primary years is essential for academic progression and success. Louise understands this and has the insight and expertise needed to support children in developing and maintaining a strong command of these core skills. Through the tutoring experience, children are not only supported to develop their English and mathematics skills but also to become more resilient as they grow in self-confidence.

As a qualified teacher with years of experience working with a wide range of ages and abilities, Louise offers the additional help and support your child needs to reach their potential. In addition to running tutoring sessions focusing on English and mathematics to children in Key Stage 2  (ages 7-11), she has specialised in tutoring for the GL 11+ examination, preparing children for assessment in all four areas of the examination. This involves English and mathematics, as well as verbal and non-verbal reasoning. To ensure her 11+ tutoring is grounded in a shared experience and best practice, she maintains regular contact with other experienced 11+ tutors. 

 

Louise offers competitive rates for all one-to-one tutoring and reduced rates for groups of up to three children. The tutoring sessions always begin with a FREE one hour introductory trial session, which helps inform how best to proceed. Weekly sessions are then block-booked and paid for in advance to secure places. Most children appreciate the benefits of being tutored in person at Louise's family home in Stratford-upon-Avon. However, she also offers the flexibility of running one-to-one tutoring sessions online.

How it works...

• 1 hour free introductory / trial session

• With advance payment, block bookings of 5 or 10 additional 1 hour sessions at: 

  • £30 per one-to-one session - in person or online (Zoom)

  • £25 per paired session (2 children) - in person only 

  • £20 per group session (3 children maximum) - in person only 

• Sessions typically run from 4.00 - 5.00 pm and 5.30 - 6.30 pm weekdays (Mon-Fri) only.
